Adrian Fisher has designed overy 200
mazes in the grounds of palaces, castles, stately homes, zoos,
amusement parks, children's museums, science centres,
universities, schools, city centres and farms. His mazes
can be found on five continents in England, Wales, Scotland,
Ireland, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, United
States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, South Korea and Australia.
Each maze is individually conceived to reflect the character and
use of its location. Materials vary from hedges, turf and
gravel to paving brick, stone, wood and water; indoors, mazes of
mosaic, marble, plastic tiles, stained glass and mirrors have
been created. Adrian invented Walk-through Parting
Waterfalls and Foaming Fountain Gates in mazes. Keynote
features within his mazes range from bridges, towers, grottoes,
tunnels, sundials and statues, to live crocodiles, pythons,
scorpions and bats. |
